Windows and Doors Award of Excellence
A window is only as good as its installation. Our judges look at how each opening was prepared, sealed, and finished inside and out.
What our judges look for
- Correct sizing and careful rough opening prep
- Sill pans and flashing that shed water
- Insulation and air sealing around every frame
- Units set level, plumb, and square, opening and locking smoothly
- Neat interior and exterior trim
Photo tips
Show the old units, the bare openings, sill pans and flashing before trim goes on, and the finished windows and doors inside and out.
Leave out logos, yard signs, house numbers, and homeowner faces so judges score the work, not the brand.
