Kitchen Remodeling Award of Excellence
The best kitchens work as well as they look. Our judges look at the layout, the fit and finish, and the work hidden inside the walls.
What our judges look for
- A layout that makes the kitchen easier to use
- Cabinets set level and square with even reveals
- Clean countertop seams and fabrication
- Tile and backsplash laid out with care
- Plumbing, electrical, and venting done neatly and to code
Photo tips
Show the old kitchen, demolition, rough-in plumbing and electrical, and the finished room from the same angles as your before photos, plus close-ups of the details you’re proud of.
Leave out logos, yard signs, house numbers, and homeowner faces so judges score the work, not the brand.
