Your award badge

Every winner gets a live badge that stays connected to its verification record. Here is how to put it on your website, in your email, and on printed materials, and the rules that keep it meaningful.

How the badge works

Your badge is not a static picture. Each time it loads, it checks your award record on our site. Anyone who clicks it lands on the Verify page, which shows your company name, the category, the year, and a link to the winning project.

Because the badge is live, nobody can copy it and pass it off as their own. If someone puts your badge ID on their site, the Verify page still shows your company. If an award is ever withdrawn under our Judging Rules, every copy of that badge on the web switches to a gray “not verified” version.

The badges above use our sample ID, so they say “sample only.” Yours will show your category and award year.

Get your badge code

Enter the badge ID from your award email or winner page, choose a style, and copy the code. Nothing needs to be installed.

It is in your award email and on your winner page. The sample ID is filled in so you can try it.

Where to use it

Your website

Paste the website code anywhere your site accepts HTML. In WordPress, use a Custom HTML block. In Wix, use Embed Code. In Squarespace, use a Code block. On GoDaddy, Webflow, Shopify, and most other builders, look for an HTML or embed element. The footer, the about page, and the page for the trade you won in are all good spots.

Email signatures

Most email programs strip out code, so use the PNG image instead. Insert it into your signature and link it to your Verify page address, which the builder shows when you click the preview.

Proposals, estimates, and printed materials

Use the large PNG for documents, or send the SVG to your print shop for trucks, yard signs, and brochures. Printed badges show the badge ID, so customers can type it into the Verify page. Next to the badge, add a line like “Verify at webreviewgroup.com/verify.”

Certificate and press release

Every winner page has a printable certificate (PDF, letter size, ready to frame) and a press release template with your award details filled in. Add a quote and a few lines about the job, then send it to local news sites, your chamber of commerce, and trade groups.

Social media and listings

The PNG works for social posts and photo uploads on listings such as your Google Business Profile. When you can add a link, point it to your winner page or Verify page.

Rules for using the badge

The award is for one job, judged on evidence. These rules keep the badge honest, which is what makes it worth showing.

  • Only the winning company may use it. The badge belongs to the business named on the award. It may not be used by a parent company, a sister brand, a subcontractor, a supplier, or a lead-generation site.
  • Describe it accurately. Say what was won, such as “2027 Award of Excellence, Gutters.” Do not suggest the award covers other trades, other locations, or every job your company does.
  • Keep the year. You may keep showing a past award as long as its year stays visible. Do not edit the year or present an old award as current.
  • Do not change the badge. Use the files and code we provide. Do not recolor, crop, stretch, redraw, or add words to it, and do not make your own version.
  • Keep it verifiable. Online, the badge should link to its Verify page. In print, the badge ID should stay readable.
  • It is not an endorsement. The award recognizes a finished project. It is not a warranty, a guarantee of future work, or an endorsement of any product, price, or financing offer.
  • Stop if it is withdrawn. If an award is withdrawn, remove the badge from your materials within 30 days. Online badges update on their own.

Questions about a specific use, such as TV, radio, or a co-branded campaign, are welcome. Ask us through the contact page before it runs.

Seen a badge that does not look right?

Type the badge ID into the Verify page. If the company you are dealing with does not match the record, or a badge has no ID at all, please tell us through our contact page. We follow up on every report.
